You've Made a Great Choice to Transition to FLCC

Our transfer students love FLCC's small classes, personalized attention, and thriving campus community. While transferring from one college to another can sometimes present certain challenges, FLCC simplifies the process and works hard to ensure you get the most out of your previous college credits.

Earn Credit for Prior Education

If you are transferring from another SUNY college or university, many of your courses will count directly toward our degree and graduation requirements. Our admissions team will also review any college credits earned outside the SUNY system to assess how many credits you can transfer into your new program. • Returning within 6 years or less? That's great. You simply need to complete a re-matriculation form. It's that easy.
  • Returning after more than 6 years away? Not a problem. You can reapply to FLCC and speak with an admissions counselor about how many of your earlier college credits carry forward.

We Have Two Programs Just for You

FLCC offers high school and homeschool students the opportunity to get a head start with college through our early enrollment programs.

Take College Classes at Your Current High School

The Gemini program gives you the opportunity to earn college credit during your regular school day without ever leaving your high school. To enroll in Gemini classes, you must be a junior or senior in high school. The college credits you earn can be applied to an FLCC degree or transferred to another college or university once you graduate from high school.

Talk to your high school counselor about enrolling in the program, or review the Gemini Student Guide with your family to learn more about this opportunity.

Take College Classes Online or at FLCC

The Early College Scholars program invites high school juniors and seniors to complete FLCC courses online or at one of our four campus locations in Canandaigua, Victor, Newark, or Geneva. You'll learn from experienced FLCC instructors, get a taste of college life, and become acclimated to the campus setting.

Early College Scholars receive a scholarship that covers a portion of their part-time in-state tuition. Funding is available for all high school and home school students who meet the program eligibility requirements.

Skip the Application Process

We make it easy for life-long learners to enroll in FLCC courses, both online and in-person. You may need to complete a prerequisite course, retake a class, update your resume with new skills, or dive into a topic that interests you. No matter the reason, you'll be able to apply your credits toward an FLCC degree or a degree at another college.

Flexible Learning All Year Long

We offer classes during the traditional fall and spring semesters, as well as over winter and summer break — providing access to quality classes on a schedule that works for you.

Veterans can save time and money by earning college credit for their military service and training. We can assist you in determining to what extent your service has advanced your education during a personalized visit.
