The Suites at Laker Landing offer apartment-style student housing, conveniently located next to main campus. Develop life-long friendships and live in an environment that fosters your educational and personal growth.

You'll be just a short walk from your classes, college activities, and a variety of student services.

Facilities, Amenities, and Floor Plan

Most of our housing units are four-bedroom suites. A limited number of two- and three-bedroom suites are also available.

All suites come furnished with the following household necessities:

  • Private bedroom — includes a standard twin-size bed, dresser, armoire, desk with chair, bookshelf, and a storage cubby
  • Living room — includes sofa, sofa chair, end table, coffee table, and entertainment stand
  • Kitchen — includes breakfast bar with stools, refrigerator, range, microwave, sink with garbage disposal, dishwasher, and plenty of cabinet and counter space

Housing Application Portal

Housing rates include utilities, cable, internet, complimentary parking, and 24/7 maintenance.

Full payment is due at the beginning of each term prior to occupancy. Students who receive financial aid may defer payment in part or in whole depending on available aid. Any balance remaining after aid has been applied must be paid prior to occupancy.

Your full term housing charge will be included on the FLCC student invoice, along with your tuition and fees, prior to the start of each term. Check MyFLCC to view your account.

Summer Session Rates

Rate: $3,330 — pro-rated for duration of summer session(s)

Students interested in residing at the residence hall during the Summer Sessions must apply prior to the start of his or her specific Summer academic session(s). Payment in full is due prior to the move-in date.

Winter Session Rates

Rate: $250

Winter Session housing is available exclusively for Fall residents. Sign a winter session housing agreement and pay your bill to remain at the residence hall between Fall and Spring terms. Payment is due prior to returning for Winter Session.

You may personalize your room make it a comfortable and enjoyable space.

You should bring:

  • accessories,

Do not bring:
  • Candles or incense
  • Mini-fridges or microwaves
  • Toaster ovens, air fryers, hot plates, waffle makers, or any cooking device without an automatic shut-off
  • Tapestries (flags are okay!)
  • String lights (including battery operated included)
  • Extension cords

May I bring a car?

Yes, and parking is included in your cost of housing. There is a parking lot exclusively for residents adjacent to the residence hall. You must obtain a resident parking permit and properly display this permit in your vehicle. Parking rules are enforced.

How do I receive mail?

Residents are assigned a mailbox and receive mail directly at The Suites at Laker Landing. Use the following address:

How do students pick up their mail and packages?

All mail is delivered to the resident's suite mailbox. Residents will receive a slip in their mailbox notifying them when packages too large for their mailbox arrive. Packages may be picked up at the Resident Director's Office between 9am-5pm Monday through Friday (ID required). There is no mail delivery on Saturday or Sunday.

What happens if my mail is not correctly addressed?

It is your responsibility to inform senders of their correct address. Any mail incorrectly addressed or delivered to the college's address will be delayed or returned to the sender. Any mail addressed to the resident that is received after the end of the spring semester will be returned to sender.

Is there an outgoing mailbox at The Suites?

Yes, an outgoing mailbox is located in the main entryway of The Suites.

Can residents mail personal belongings prior to move in?

Make arrangements with the Housing Office to have personal belongings mailed in advance of your arrival. No packages may be received without written approval. Pre-arrival deliveries are subject to a $20 per package handling charge regardless of weight.

May I receive a tour of The Suites at Laker Landing?

Absolutely. Schedule a tour of The Suites at Laker Landing through our Admissions Office. Campus and residence hall tours are part of the program for those attending specific visit events. Contact Admissions for dates and times.

What is the deadline to apply?

There is no official deadline for application, although we encourage students to apply by April. Student housing availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is important to apply as soon as possible.

What happens after I submit my application?

Submitting your application, security deposit, and application fee secures your place on our housing list. The Office of Housing and Residential Life will contact you about housing availability beginning in early May.

What happens if I'm on the waiting list?

We start offering spaces in early May and continue making offers at the beginning of each month thereafter. If we are not able to offer you housing in a particular month, you will be placed on the waiting list and an offer may be extended the following month based on availability. Being on the waiting list does not mean you will not receive housing. We typically make offers to all those on our waiting list prior to opening. Status updates are not available over the phone.

Is my deposit refundable?

The $200 security deposit portion will be refunded if you withdraw your housing application before we offer you a place in a suite. An applicant who declines an offer for housing is not eligible for a deposit refund. See terms and conditions for full details.

Will financial aid pay for my housing?

Financial aid can be used to pay for student housing, but only after college tuition and fees have been paid. Please call Financial Aid if you have further questions.

What if I have specific medical needs or a disability?

We will make every effort to accommodate residents with disabilities as our space allows. Please provide documentation from a qualified source (e.g., licensed primary care physician or psychologist) confirming your disability and listing recommended accommodations. Requests need to be made in writing and received with the signed license agreement.

May I choose my roommates?

Yes, you may list someone you wish to be assigned on your application. We will do our best to honor your request. Both students must be offered housing and request to live with each other.

Does The Suites at Laker Landing offer housing over breaks?

Yes, current residents may request winter session and spring break housing for a separate fee. The Suites at Laker Landing will close for the Thanksgiving and Winter holiday breaks, and residents will need to depart. Residents are not required to remove their belongings out of their suites during scheduled closings.
