What is the value of an FLCC education? Finger Lakes provides a small, safe, and comfortable environment to reach our goals. Faculty and staff who care about students define our campus community. There is always someone ready to help.

Tips for future students? Ask questions. Make friends. Seek out your professors and counselors; these connections will help shape your career.

Who is a celebrity you would like to take on a campus tour? The next time Trey Anastasio plays CMAC, I would love to grab a coffee and show him around our music recording studios.

What is your favorite pizza topping? Nothing beats a plain NYC slice.

Are you a dog or a cat person? I am a fan of both, but currently our two cats (Bear and Peach) make our home fun.

What is your favorite part of the Finger Lakes? I like being close to nature, and to all the amenities I need. If I need something to do for fun I can always go to Canandaigua Lake or walk one of the many hiking trails around the area, especially Grimes Glenn. In the winter, I like to snowboard and ski.

Tips for future students? Be persistent and use the resources around you. There are lots of people on campus to help you achieve, be successful, and earn those A's.

What is your favorite place on campus? The Library, because the staff are always welcoming. They go out of their way to help you find research information on the topic you are covering. It's quiet, comfortable, and a great place to take a break from your social life.

What's your favorite pizza topping? Thin sliced hot Italian sausage. I go back to my hometown often, and when I do I always get a sausage and pepperoni pizza at Pepi's Pizza in Oneida. The sausage is great, and the sauce is just the right amount of sweet.

Tips for future students? Get to know people who work at the College. Go for it!

Are you a dog or a cat person? Dogs. I grew up with cats, but it took me until my 20s to learn I am allergic to them. It explained a lifetime of sneezes.

What is your favorite book/book series? Cien Años de Soledad (One Hundred Years of Solitude).

What is an odd/unique talent you possess? I am currently the English-Spanish bilingual counselor for Admissions. I have also studied Latin, Quechua, and Gujarati at various times in my life, with mixed success.

What do you love about the Finger Lakes? I love the beauty of the lakes and the rolling hills in this area.

Tips for future students? Get involved! Join a club, an athletic team or any activity you have an interest in. There's lots to do at FLCC, and it's a great way to meet people who enjoy the same activity.

What is your favorite place on campus? The bench on the back side of campus that overlooks the campus and Canandaigua Lake.

What was the last concert you saw at CMAC? Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Are you a cat or a dog person? I grew up with dogs all my life as a kid, and my husband, daughters and I fostered dogs when our girls were younger. In more recent years, we've adopted rescue dogs and at one time had as many as five, four of which were rescue dogs from puppy mills. We currently have two rescues (cock-a-poos) and one Old English Sheep dog who is not a rescue.
