Fall Migration Paddle
Saturday, September 26, 2026
As the leaves begin to change, birds are on the move! September at Muller Field Station is a prime time and location to search for migratory birds heading south.
Muller Field Station is situated along the Atlantic Flyway, a route where millions of birds travel twice a year to head south in the fall and north in the spring. Join Muller Field Station staff for a morning excursion on the water to explore migrating waterfowl passing through. Waterfowl like Blue-winged teal, Northern Pintails, and other diving and dabbling ducks may be spotted.
Participants are welcome to bring their own canoe or kayak and gear or use one of the field stations. No previous paddling experience is necessary. Waterproof clothing, sunscreen, and a water bottle are all recommended. Binoculars are suggested and will be provided if needed.
Spots are limited, so registration is required.
