Several alumni have acting and production roles in "Continuity Error," an official selection of the Amazing Fantasy Fest film festival. The showing is Thursday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. at Dipson's Amherst Theatre in Buffalo.
Jim Perri, technical theatre and auditorium manager, wrote and directed "Continuity Error," filmed in the spring and summer of 2025. It stars Natalie Mix '26, Juan Espana II '20, Jason Forzano, Liam Houle '24 and Dave Ghidiu.
Here is a synopsis: Humanity is extinct. The future is gone. And the last hope for civilization is a CIA analyst trapped in a bunker with an insufferable movie nerd. Charged with traveling through time to prevent the apocalypse, the pair must identify the single event that sent history off the rails. As they dig through the past, their search leads to an increasingly improbable conclusion, forcing them to confront the unsettling possibility that the fate of humanity may hinge on something far more trivial than anyone could have imagined. Continuity Error is a fast-paced sci-fi comedy that combines time travel, pop culture, and the challenges of surviving eternity with someone who gets on your last nerve.
