Celebrate the Winter Solstice at Muller Field Station!
The winter solstice is the official start of winter and the day with the shortest amount of sunlight! Join Muller Field Station for an evening to explore the 48-acre property at dusk and learn how wildlife is affected by seasonal changes and the amount of daylight.
Participants will be led along the channel trail in search of evening wildlife activity as hibernators gather resources for the winter ahead. As we explore, we will listen for calls from great horned owls, barred owls, and eastern screech owls. Participants are welcome to stay after the walk for warm refreshments in the Muller lodge for an evening of community and celebration.
