What can we help you find?

Two EMT - Paramedic students practice emergency medical and lifesaving skills.

Paramedic Information Session

Tuesday, August 19, 2025

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Meet the faculty who teach in the paramedic degree and certificate programs and tour the facilities.

While EMTs provide basic medical care in a crisis, paramedics have a wider range of medical training that allows them to administer the highest level of pre-hospital care to patients in need. This is an opportunity to find out more about the requirements to become a paramedic and where our graduates work.

The 16-month FLCC program begins every January. The program includes:

  • Hands-on simulation labs
  • Interactive classroom instruction
  • Real-world clinical and field experiences with local EMS agencies and hospitals
  • One-on-one mentorship and academic support
  • Small cohort sizes and personalized instruction
  • Preparation for New York State and National Registry certification exams

Students can opt to earn the 32-credit certificate or take additional classes to get the full associate degree. The associate degree program qualifies for SUNY Reconnect, a state program that provides additional financial aid for students who study high-demand programs.
