English as a Second Language (ESL)

Improve your English language skills with our free ESL program. ESL courses provide the instruction you need to become a fluent speaker of the English language.

About the Program

If you are looking to improve your English language skills, FLCC's ESL courses deliver basic skills instruction that will put you on the path toward becoming a fluent speaker of the English language. These ESL course lessons provide intensive English immersion in speaking, reading and writing. FLCC offers beginning, intermediate, and advanced ESL courses. Classes are free.

Program Requirements

ESL classes are open to adults and out of school youth age 17 and older. Prior to enrolling in an ESL course, you'll be given a baseline assessment to measure your English language skills and periodically be tested for English language gains. Prerequisites include orientation and oral language pre-assessment sessions.

Class Schedule & Registration

FLCC's beginning, intermediate, and advanced ESL courses are offered in fall, spring and summer semesters. The ESL program is flexible and has no mandatory time frame for completion. New students entering ESL classes must attend an in-person orientation and assessment session prior to registration. Please call us about the availability of hybrid classes. Some in-person participation and assessments will be necessary.
