English Placement Tests
FLCC's English placement tests measure your reading comprehension and sentence skills. They assess your ability to understand what you read and measure your understanding of what makes a sentence complete and clear.
The reading comprehension test, comprised of 20 questions, measures your ability to understand what you read and allows you to identify main ideas and make inferences. In this test, you'll distinguish between direct statements and secondary or supporting ideas.
The sentence skills test, comprised of 20 questions, measures your understanding of sentence structure specific to what makes a sentence complete and clear. Some questions deal with the logic of the sentence, while others focus on the relationships between two sentences.
