ART CLUB:

The Art Club promotes an interest in the visual and performing arts by sponsoring art exhibitions, guest artists and speakers, trips to museums, concerts, music conventions, and theatrical productions. Membership affords the student with an interest in the visual and performing arts an opportunity to get to know others who share like interests and provides a setting for the lively exchange of ideas and opinions.

BIKERS CLUB:

The purpose of the Bikers Club is to provide an interest group for those who currently bike as well as those who are interested in getting started in biking. The club rides frequently in many of the surrounding areas.

COLLEGE DEMOCRATS:

The purpose of the College Democrats Club is to promote an interest in political events, values, ideas and the outcomes of those ideas, as related to the Democratic Party.

COLLEGE REPUBLICANS:

The purpose of the College Republicans Club is to promote an interest in political events, values, ideas and the outcomes of those ideas, as related to the Republican Party.

COMMUNICATIONS CLUB:

This club promotes an interest in broadcasting and public relations. Activities include conferences, trips to television stations and video production houses, and guest speakers.

CONSERVATION CLUB:

Primarily composed of students in the Conservation program, but open to all with interest in conservation or outdoor recreation are encouraged to join this club. Outdoor recreation activities such as camping, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, and rafting are just a few of the club-sponsored day and weekend outings. The club also is involved in paper recycling and environmentally-oriented community projects.

FINGER LAKES ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION (F.L.E.A.) CLUB:

The purpose of F.L.E.A. is to provide the college community with education about our environment, with every aspect of sensible and safe living.

THE GHOST (Editorial Newspaper):

The Ghost of Ben Franklin is our student-run, editorial style newspaper that is published throughout the terms. Students who are interested in submitting materials should contact the Ghost advisor. Articles, opinions, poetry, and more are accepted!

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL ORGANIZATION (I.T.O.):

The I.T.O. club embraces opportunities for travel and study abroad, as well as for international educational exchange opportunities.

LEGAL SOCIETY:

The legal society promotes participation for students interested in law and provides educational and networking opportunities.

MASSAGE CLUB:

The massage club is designed to enhance the educational experience of those students involved in the Massage Therapy program and for those interested in learning more about the profession of Massage.

NON-TRADITIONAL STUDENT SUPPORT CLUB (N.T.S.S.)- Newark:

The N.T.S.S. Club’s main focus is the issue of balancing the demand of work, family, and school. We will have a two-fold purpose: to give and get advice on these issues and to learn from experts on various aspects of our “balancing act.”

NURSING CLUB:

The club performs various health-oriented service projects in the community and sponsors social events during the year. Membership is open to all nursing and pre-nursing students who wish to share their interest, offering an opportunity for nursing students to get involved in the campus community.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLUB:

The purpose of the Physical Education Club is to provide an opportunity for those interested in the field of Physical Education an opportunity to meet, discuss news in the field and participate in events that promote healthy living and lifestyles. Open to anyone interested in the field or science of P.E..

RADIO CLUB:

Radio club was formed to provide student-programmed entertainment as well as a medium for promoting campus activities. Transmitted throughout the Student Union music is chosen by vote of club members. Each member has a regular, formatted show.

SKI AND BOARD CLUB:

The Ski and Board Club promotes a social and healthy lifestyle outside of the classroom through skiing and snowboarding.

SOCIAL SCIENCE-HUMAN SERVICE CLUB:

This club provides opportunities to the students for increased knowledge and experience in the social science disciplines and local human service agencies.

S.T.A.R (Students for Tolerance And Respect):

STAR seeks to help support gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender students and their allies. They work to increase awareness and understanding of issues related to gender and sexual orientation. Students participate in discussions and other outreach programs in a safe environment.

SWINGERS (GOLF CLUB):

Anyone who is interested in the sport of Golf is welcome and encouraged to join the “swingers” as they tee off around the area for fun and relaxation.

THEATRE CLUB:

Promotes an interest in drama by sponsoring trips to local and regional venues. Membership and participation is open.

TRANSFORMED:

This club provides all students with the opportunity to participate in Christian fellowship and promotes the spiritual growth and maturity of Christian beliefs.

HONOR SOCIETIES:

Phi Theta Kappa is a national honors society of two-year schools. This student-run organization is dedicated to scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship.
