Advanced Manufacturing Machinist Training

Searching for a career path? Join the exciting world of advanced manufacturing! Well-paying high-tech jobs in our area are waiting for skilled employees. This six-month program, offered in partnership with G.W. Lisk, prepares students for immediate employment by obtaining middle-skills training to become machinists on the way to a successful career in advanced manufacturing. The program will focus on developing skills in safe operation of machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders and drill presses, with an emphasis on setting up and running CNC machines and precision measuring equipment.

Requirements

Students must:

  • Be 18 years old
  • Have high school diploma or GED
  • Have a valid NYS driver’s license
  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Have a clear drug screen

Orientation Information

Orientation/Interview Schedule:

  • Call (585)785-1660 for dates/times and to reserve a spot.
  • A mandatory orientation for new students entering the program in the fall 2016 semester is on July 14, 2016 at 9 am.

Orientations are held at G.W. Lisk, 39 Pearl Street, Clifton Springs, NY 14432.

Costs
