Q: Do you offer work study programs?

A: Yes. Work study is available in all three areas: Art, Music, Communications/Theatre. Student Aide positions are also available in Art, Communications and Music.

Q: How do I register for the next semester?

A: Make an appointment with your academic advisor prior to pre-registration. They have your registration form and will plan the next semester’s schedule with you.

Q: When should I start the transfer process to a four year institution?

A: In the beginning of your third semester. Your advisor will explain the process to you. Research four year institutions in The Center and look for programs that fit your interests and needs.

Q: Do you offer any internships or articulation agreements?

A: Yes. Ask your academic advisor about individual programs.

Q: What do I do if I’m having problems with any of my classes?

A: First, talk to your instructor and see if you can solve the problem. If not, go to your advisor to seek a solution. Your advisor may suggest you talk to the chairperson of the department that is involved. If you receive no satisfactory solution, then make an appointment with the Dean of Students.

Q: What are the performance opportunities in the programs?

A: Music performance groups: College Singers, Lincoln Hill Singers, Finger Lakes Chorale, Jazz Ensemble, Finger Lakes Concert Band.

Theatre Arts: two mainstage productions, Children’s Theatre tour, High School Theatre tour, Spring Arts Festival, Family Day production, one-act independent study projects, acting/directing scenes.

Art: Williams-Insalaco Art Gallery exhibits

Communications: FLTV — on campus public access television.
