Financial Aid Application Timeline for 2007-2008

To ensure that you have applied for and are being considered for all possible financial aid, the following timetable highlights the general cycle for aid applicants.

December 2006

• apply for a pin number at www.pin.ed.gov. Dependent students must also have one parent apply for a pin
• download FLCC Supplemental Application for Financial Aid, complete and return to the FLCC Financial Aid Office
• download Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) worksheet at www.fafsa.ed.gov

January 2007

• after receipt of pin number(s) fill out the FAFSA on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov
• FLCC’s college code number is 007532
• at the completion of the FAFSA application link to the state grant application, TAP, and complete

March 2007

• notices of awards begin to go out to students

April, 1, 2007

• recommended deadline to complete all FLCC financial aid paperwork to be given first consideration for funding for Fall 2007
• summer 2007 application for aid available from the FLCC Financial Aid Office
• students may begin to apply for Stafford Student Loans. Students who have never borrowed at FLCC can apply on-line at www.hesc.org or by requesting a loan packet from the FLCC Financial Aid Office. Students who have borrowed previously at FLCC only need to complete the Supplemental Application for Financial Aid

November 1, 2007

• recommended deadline to complete all FLCC financial aid paperwork to be given first consideration for Spring 2008

May 1, 2008

• deadline to complete the 2007-2008 Stafford Student Loan

June 30, 2008

• deadline to file the 2007-2008 FAFSA
