Asked Questions about learning disability services
Q:
Who is Eligible for Services?
A:
Services and reasonable accommodations are granted to anyone who voluntarily
submits complete written documentation of the disability from a qualified
source. The documentation must be current (within 3 years) and clearly
state a specific diagnosis. No services can be provided for a student
who does not submit the necessary documentation. FLCC does not provide
evaluations.
Q:
What Services are Available?
A:
The College believes that the needs of each person with a disability
are individual and unique; therefore, services are provided on an individual
basis. Services may include:
- pre-admission
academic counseling
- assistance
with academic advisement
- tutorial
services
- notetakers,
scribes or readers
- computer
- support
group
- texts
on tape

How do Students Arrange for Services?
A:
Students should contact the Learning Disabilities Coordinator at the
Developmental Studies Department to arrange for services. Phone: (585)

Q:
How Much Will Services Cost?
A:
At this time, designated services are provided at no cost to the student.
