Ability to Benefit (ATB)

The ATB option allows eligible students to be admitted to FLCC while actually working towards obtaining a GED.  After successfully completing specific requirements, students will be eligible to petition NYS to issue a GED while concurrently working on completing their FLCC degree.  To be eligible for the program you must:

  • be 18 years old or your high school class must have graduated
  • Agree to follow course placement requirements for enrolling in a combination of courses which are designed to help ensure success at FLCC
  • Achieve a minimum score on tests of reading, writing and arithmetic skills
