Alumni Scholarships

The FLCC Alumni Association annually sponsors several scholarships for full and part-time graduating, returning, and incoming students. Applications for these scholarships are made through the College’s scholarship processes that occur annually in February for returning and graduating students and in May for incoming students.

Alumni Association Returning Student Scholarships (4)
Amount: $500 full-time (2)
$250 part-time (2)

• These awards are presented annually to full or part-time matriculated students. Full-time students must have completed at least 15 hours and part-time students must have completed 32 hours of coursework.
• A 3.4 G.P.A. must have been maintained and involvement must be shown in one or more of the following activities while at FLCC: student activities, athletics, or community service (exclusive of practicum/internship requirements).

• Students must demonstrate involvement in one or more college, community service/athletic activities.
• Minimum 3.4 GPA must be maintained through graduation, and student must be transferring to a four-year college to receive the second year’s $1,000 disbursement

Alumni Association Graduating Student Scholarships (2)
Amount: $500 (2)

• These awards are presented to 2 graduating students receiving a two-year degree who intend to continue their education within 12 months of graduation.
• Must have maintained a 3.4 G.P.A. and been involved in one or more of the following FLCC activities: student activities, athletics, or community service (exclusive of practicum/internship requirements).
• When the Registrar's Office at the new college issues a verification of attendance certificate, a check for the amount of $500 is sent directly to the Bursar's Office.  The student must attend within 12 months of graduating from FLCC.

FLCC Alumni Memorial Scholarship
Amount: $1000

• For one graduating student going on to a four-year college
• Essay to be a reflection of the impact the student had on FLCC as well as a description of the student's goals.
• When the Registrar's Office at the new college issues a verification of attendance certificate, a check for the amount of $1000 is sent directly to the Bursar's Office.  The student must attend within 12 months of graduating from FLCC.

Alumni Association Regional Freshman Student Scholarships
Amount: $500

• Student must be an incoming freshman residing in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne or Yates counties.
• Involvement in one or more community service or athletic activities in the year prior to applying.

Alumni Association Excellence Scholarship
Amount: $2,000 over two years (1)
1 for a traditional-aged student

• Eligible students will be accepted full-time freshmen for the following fall semester. Evidence that applicant is an "exceptional student".
• A 3.4 G.P.A. must be attained by the end of the freshman year and the student must be registered for a second year as a full-time student to receive the second $1,000 award.
• Students must demonstrate involvement in one or more community service/athletic activities in the year prior to applying for the scholarship.
• Recipients must be available to be interviewed and highlighted in Alumni Association and other publications.
