The NYS Biology-Chemistry Professional Development Network hasbeen developing educational materials and providing in-service training to biology and chemistry teachers since 1991.
GOALS
To provide teachers with strategies and tools that will implement instructional changes required to meet the New York State Education Department (SED)'s: Math, Science and Technology (MST) Standards, Graduation Requirements, Core Curriculum Guides and Regents Assessments.
To provide special assistance to districts having a large number of high-risk students (high populations of under-represented and under-prepared students).
To provide a model for integrating in-service teachers and pre-service teachers.
To develop strategies to encourage collaborative interaction within the K-16 educational community.
