The Science Studies Certificate is designed for recent high school graduates and returning students who wish to prepare for a career in science or technology and enter a two-year degree program.

GST 102 College Composition, GST 121 Effective Reading, GST 142 Fundamental
Mathematics and Algebraic Skills, SCI 102 Physical Science II, ECT 120
Electronic Theory I, TECH 105 Engineering Drawing I, ENG 102 Introduction
to Literature, and MAT 151 Trigonometry.
** MAT 151 may be substituted if the MAT 145 level of materials has previously been achieved.
Faculty in the science studies certificate area are committed to helping students succeed. Designed for students who are not yet ready to pursue a heavy load in the science area, the certificate strengthens skills and completes knowledge gaps so students are poised to excel at the sciences and pursue higher-level education in research, medicine, or applied science.
