Christopher RebaChristopher Reba

Christopher Reba serves as instructor of music recording for FLCC and has taught at the College since 2006. He was previously employed at SUNY Buffalo as an adjunct faculty member. Reba received a master of music degree in composition from the University at Buffalo, a bachelor of arts in music composition and bass performance from the University of California at San Diego, and an associate of arts in music from MiraCosta Community College. Reba has studied composition with Pulitzer Prize winning composer Roger Reynolds and computer music pioneer Cort Lippe. Reba has been a professional musician for over ten years, has played in over 20 bands and ensembles, and has worked with a wide array of industry professionals including Grammy winning and nominated artists. He has worked extensively as a recording and live sound engineer in California and western New York state. Chris also is a founding member of the Open Music Foundation, a New York not-for-profit organization dedicated to the performance, publishing and preservation of unconventionally notated musical works, and to the distinctly American tradition of experimentalism.
